45 min sample

My name is Hela I'm a refugee. Today I woke up to a sound of explosions and mum was dragging me out of my bed.

She told me that we had to leave immediately the only question I wanted to ask was where are we going?

We walked out of the house and planes were flying above us and dropping bombs I was scared out of my skin.

The bombs were trencherous and large. We weren't alone there were other people trying to escape as well.

I could hear babies crying and mums screaming. An hour had passed and we were on a very long trip to Jordan.

Mum told me that we will be walking awhile. I was hungry and everyone was too. Another hour past and we were in a bombed city .

Then suddenly we had arrived in Jordan and we were put into refugee camps and I played with all the other children.

  2. Nice Comment Emma. Well done Katie for getting your narrative up here. Can you please edit 'baby's' to babies (plural) form?
You need to add more detail to your writing Katie, but I liked the ideas you have here, they do create a mental image.
    Keep up the good work.
